If you want the best red wine, ask a winemaker what to drink. That's what we did, and chief Duplin winemaker Jason gave us the answer we hear from many people: Hatteras Red.
Hatteras Red has been our best seller for at least 25 years, and cases (12 bottles) are 30% off when you order online June 5, 6 and 7. Sweet and fruity, with a bite at the end, this blend of late-harvest Muscadine grapes is an easy drinker for folks new to wine. We call it our "beer-converter wine" because so many beer drinkers end up loving Hatteras Red. And it's a perfect match with our Chocolatini Sweetzer.
Because Hatteras Red it's so popular, you can find it in just about every supermarket that carries Duplin wines. That's how it ended up being the first Duplin wine with the Hatteras Lighthouse on the label. A chain of Outer Banks, N.C., groceries asked us to produce a label just for them. It became so popular, we decided to put the lighthouse on all of our labels.
