Spaghetti Night was not the average family dinner in the Fussell household. "Here's a funny story," as Duplin co-owner Dave Fussell Jr. likes to say, and a delectable recipe that pays tribute to a pasta dinner that the Fussells, owners of Duplin winery, will never forget.

Duplin's Summertime Wine Spritzer is a sweet white wine lemonade that has been served since the winery's earliest days. “At our first dinner shows, we would make buckets of it and stand on the front porch scooping it into cups,” Duplin general manager Morgan Jackson said. 

Gray Fussell wasn't always sure that he wanted a career at his family's Duplin Winery. "Little by little, my perspective on Duplin began to change," Gray says. "I started to understand the significance of pouring your heart into something you love." As he prepares to lead the fourth genertion of Fussells into the winery, Gray reflects on how he landed there and why he plans to stay.
